SG Free’s
Imaginative Preschool
Our church is host to a Christ-centered program for preschool children (ages 3-5) that provides valuable social and learning experiences for young children to help prepare them for kindergarten. Classes are in session September through May, and run two or three days per week. Our staff for the 2024-25 school year is Director and Teacher Pam McMillen and assistant Breana Benson.
Preschool Registration is now open for the 2024-25 school year.
Students presently enrolled in the 3-year-old class are given first chance for enrollment in the 4-year-old classes.
We will have one class which meets on Tuesday, Thursday, and
Friday afternoons from 12:00pm-3:00pm. The second class will be on Tuesday and Thursday from 8:15am-11:15am, and Wednesdays from 12:00pm-3:00pm.
You can download the registration information below and print at home to bring in to the church at any time. Or, printed registration packets are available at the church.
Basic Goals of our Preschool Program:
1. To recognize that each child is a unique, wonderful individual and provide opportunity for creative self-expression through a wide variety of stimulating experiences.
2. To develop pre-math and pre-reading skills through use of readiness activities.
3. To plan for growth and enrichment in the basic perceptual motor areas through use of various gross and fine motor activities.
4. To cultivate human relationships through activities like games, songs, and sharing responsibilities.
5. To stimulate social and emotional growth in the child by providing a Christian influence and helping them relate to God as Creator.
6. To stimulate proper language development.
